Our view
A plug-in hybrid only makes sense if the electric range is long enough to cover your week, and this one is. Sixty-two miles on a charge is Seaham to Newcastle and back twice over, and the petrol engine simply does not start unless you ask it to.
One owner, twenty-three thousand miles, full Mercedes-Benz history. We have put a Service B through it and had the high-voltage battery tested — it is recording 97% of original capacity, and the printout comes with the car.
The AMG Line Premium Plus specification brings the panoramic roof, the Burmester system and the digital light headlights. Worth knowing before you view: the boot is noticeably smaller than a standard C-Class because of the battery, and the spare wheel well is gone.
